The two models share the main housing and eyepiece unit. The distinguishing feature is the lens. The DJ-8 NSV 1×58 is the further development of the DJ-8 NSV 1×56 and allows an effective entrance pupil of 58mm due to its enlarged lens. The resulting light inlet ensures approximately 30% higher performance compared to the DJ-8 NSV 1×48, not only in terms of light output and contrast, but also allowing higher magnifications of the primary optics. Although the light inlet of the DJ-8 NSV 1×58 is impressive, the built-in glass lenses, with IR coating specially tuned for night vision technology Jahnke, are of course also decisive for the outstanding system performance.
Thus, the use of the DJ-8 1×58 allows a longer operational capability without IR support. When this is required, it is at a significantly lower power level with equally significantly reduced unwanted reflections. This is especially crucial for hunting success in the fall, in light haze or fog.
In short, the DJ-8 NSV 1×58 delivers the more optimal image than its little brother at any distance, in all lighting conditions without exception.
Unique image quality
The DJ-8 NSV comes standard with a yellow-green image display. In addition, a Jahnke Monochrome® image is available. This ensures a significantly better depth of field and image quality that is easier on the eye. Details are more quickly visible to the eye. In particular, wild boar hunters repeatedly emphasize the improved contrast between black boars and the landscape.

We are also uncompromising in our choice of materials. As the first manufacturer worldwide, we have been successfully using magnesium in large parts of our production since 2013. The use of this high-performance material and a special, extremely complex production process ensure a denser and more closed material structure compared to aluminum and significantly increased strength. The result for you is a 30% weight saving with increased stability as well as optimized transmission of forces, with significantly lower unsprung mass – for optimum balance, even in critical situations.
